Photos show images that make the property look completely restored and new when in reality the windows are paper thin so on the weekends you will hear the aperitivo and bar music from the corner, the water heating is impossible to understand but if you put the upstairs water heater on 35 degrees, it seems to be bearable but still super hot in the shower downstairs (no shower upstairs just a handle with open tub), 2 flights of spiral stairs so be careful with big bags, upstairs floorboards are of the squeakiest I’ve ever heard so if anyone goes to the bathroom at night they will wake up the entire upstairs level, and in general the apartment is old with lipstick as we say in America. The property could not be better positioned however, the location is crazy good and has 5 bedrooms so a bunch of young people splitting the cost could actually be reasonable, but if you think you are renting a luxury renovated apartment, it is definitely not. 3 separate codes to enter, 3 or 4 different companies managing entrance, so we have Belvilla, CheckMyGuest, VRBO, CMG, and maybe something else but save all emails because when you get to the apartment, there is no info on your VRBO booking for getting in. I had to dig and make some calls to figure out that I had an email from CMG which is CheckMyGuest but shows up as CMG on the iPhone which had a link to the entrance instructions. Anyways, completely not a smooth process and AirBNB is miles ahead but takes more from the renter so you get what you pay for I think. Anyways, will definitely return to the area, just not to this apartment unless the windows are all replaced with double pane glass (2:30am is when the outdoor music shut off from the bar on the corner) and closed shower is installed upstairs and the water heating situation is fixed.
